The boat captains and dive instructors were all top notch (sorry, I'm not that great on remembering names). We also did a few shore dives and one night dive on the house reef. Only issue was the occasionally slow service at the tiki bar. We used the shuttle to go into town one day and the wife used the free bike to ride around a bit.

Also noteworthy is My Bar, located overlooking the sunset that the resort is aptly named for. My Bar specializes is Indian cuisine, but the menu is varied and the drinks were always refreshing. The only thing negative to be said about Sunset House is that it is not a "luxury" resort.

Alcohol is only sold at liquor stores and not in grocery stores, everyday except Sundays. It is legal to have an open container on the beach. Do not carry open containers of alcohol in your car or any public area that isn’t zoned for alcohol consumption.

The rooms are tidy but don't expect 5 star quality here. If you are into underwater photography, Cathy Church Photo Center is on site. All staff not only are able photographers but also divemasters. The dive operation was very professional and very helpful. The gavedetailed briefings before every dive and the diving was reallybeautiful. Great visibility (100 feet or more) and tons of marinelife--especially turtles.

Located a 15-minute walk south of George Town in a quiet, cruise-ship-free location, we’re perfectly placed on a rocky shoreline renowned for its shore diving. As stewards of the sea, it’s our responsibility to protect and preserve Grand Cayman’s precious marine ecosystems for future generations to enjoy. We swam out aways before descending to the Landing Craft David Nicholson, where we began the practical part of the lessons. Shortly after we began we were buzzed several times by an Atlantis tourist submarine... After thoroughly shooting the wreck we moved over to some reef shots, then over to the 9' bronze mermaid sculpture of Amphitrite, the consort of Poseidon. This provided a good subject for learning exercises. From here we worked our way back through the reefs towards shore, photographing various corals. After the dive we went back into the classroom where we downloaded my pics to review and discuss the results and the settings and techniques that I used to achieve them.
Every guest has unique circumstances, from their diving ability to the length of their stay on our island. The High Season Package includes 7 nights and 6 days of diving, while the Low Season Package includes 9 nights and 8 days of diving. Just bring a flash light if you are returning at night. There are places where you share the road with the cars. You should note that if there are no ships in port (you can seem them from Sunset House) a lot is closed down. Afternoon trips are available to Stingray City and the Wreck of the Kittiwake, and new for 2018 is the northside 3-tank safari and Rum Point Express.
